My son loves his kindergarten class. The teachers and staff are excellent and go above-and-beyond the call of duty. They successfully teach the children to be loving and accepting of everyone.
I’ve sent my older kids to some highly accredited private schools but this public school has been the best of all. It is an oasis in the inner city.
My son went in with pre-k reading and math skills and halfway through the semester he can easily rattle-off his sight words, sound out three-and-four-letter words, and add and subtract, despite his attention problems.
If you’re looking to send your child to a public school around Old Goucher/Barclay or anywhere else nearby, and you haven’t gotten into a Montessori, (or even if you have), DEFINITELY check out Cecil.
