My kiddo attends preschool at this sweet school. He’s a sensitive little guy and Compositive has gone above and beyond making sure his transition to school has been as gentle as possible.

All the teachers and faculty I interact with seem happy to be at the school and really have the kids’ best interests in mind. My son particularly loves “atelierista” time everyday, where two dedicated teachers come to the class and lead the kids in an hour of music, art, theater (and this week, making fresh-squeezed apple juice!)

As a parent, I love that the classrooms feel warm, inviting and thoughtfully designed. I strongly believe childhood should be filled with play and creativity in addition to academics and Compositive has a really beautiful balance of both.

Last but not least, the pickup and drop off situation is really easy. For my fellow parents at other schools, I know you can appreciate that this isn’t always the case. At Compositive, you just drive up in front of the school and parking is a piece of cake. There are always adults and teachers outside welcoming the kids into school.

Overall, I feel like this school is a bit of a hidden gem in the east Denver/Central Park/north Aurora areas and I’m so glad we found it!

Watching my older son (5) transition so smoothly into a full-time school environment has further supported my impression that this school is designed so kids can be themselves and learn at the same time. The approach of allowing kids to guide their learning through their own interests and intersecting that with the warm family environments of the classroom is very encouraging for any parent to see. I believe that Compositive Primary centers education around individual learning and community within the classroom and school. This is the type of environment I have always hope I would find for my boys.
We have three kids at Compositive. It has been a fantastic experience. The teachers are excellent, and the staff is amazing. The curriculum is inquiry-based, which is great at keeping kids interested. They also ensure important modern skills are learned at the same time. We have loved the focus on emotional-social learning. The small class sizes ensure the teachers really know your children. They do a great job!
