Nationally ranked by US News & World Report and The Washington Post and with top TEA ratings, Woodrow boasts four college prep academies: STEM, Arts, Business and IB.
WWWHS STEM has the largest engineering enrollment in a Texas comprehensive high school, Arts has the longest string of Broadway musicals in America and the largest dance program in Dallas, Business is one of only three schools in Texas where students are certified by the IRS and IB offers the prestigious International Baccalaureate Diploma Program, where students earn at least 24 college credits. They can earn even more through the schools extensive list of AP (Advanced Placement) classes.
Woodrow is the All-American high school experience, where students may have parents and grandparents who attended and sometimes shared the same teachers.
terrible school, teachers start drama with students for petty reasons and gossip with students about illegal activity going on in the school. Besides rampant drug activity students are being pushed out of classes by their counselors due to the fact that theyre 400+ over the amount of students per teachers this year alone and have to hire 13 new teachers to compensate. Deaf ed interpreters also have no breaks and are spread to thin so they have no planning period. And on top of it all the administration is putting non Deaf ed kids into Deaf ed classes because they either don’t have a schedule or theres just no room to put them elsewhere. And any negative review on here about them they comment back to the person asking “if theres anything Woodrow can do to change your mind?” absolutely pitiful
This is the worst school I have every attended. The teachers are awful, the class rooms are filthy, the dress code is the biggest abomination I have ever witnessed. By the way it doesn’t improve anything academically for the students , the temperature is either extremely hot or extremely cold in the class rooms, and one thing that just really bugs me is that half of the teachers don’t even have the necessary equipment that they need. For example about half of the teachers don’t even have projectors. All in all this school is terrible, the worst school I have ever attended. Please if you are moving to Dallas or are in the area and your child is going to be attending this school please make sure that you don’t have your child attend Woodrow.
