As a Senior graduating 2017, the school itself is corrupt. With the new Principal running the school, it’s more like a joke. Dr. Birts can fail a student if they do not do what the rules say. The new rule now indicates that if a phone is out, it will be taken without warning. What in god’s point does that have to help us? You will be bullied and probably going into many fights in this school. There is a lot of Racism and Mistreatment of how you live your life. Saturday school, and summer school cost way too much. Some of the teachers are good, some are bad on a daily basis. If you are a caring parent, do not put your kid here or any other school that District 227 holds. Ever since Mark Kramer, the original principal, got out of there, Dr. Birts took his place and made 75% of the students angry. I highly suggest that you do not go to this High School.
I down across the street and my mom looked into this school to finish my last year of highschool so we visited the school 1 day before starting. I walked in and not 5 mins in I started crying.. that school is just awful and green is just ugly and the tech is from 2006! It’s really small and doesn’t have any programs I would want to join. I would rather drive an hour to my old school Palatine High-school with 3000 kids a million programs and iPad airs than go here so that’s what I did the entire 2016-17year. I only regret it cause I don’t have any friends at all in the area but hey at least I went to a great us for 4 years.
The athletic department sucks. There is no way to find out where the children play their games at. Parents are in the dark
