Jim Stone Elementary School, Conway | Fees, Rankings, Address, Admission, Vacancies, Reviews & More

One star may not be fair, given that there are some schools out there that could be worse. But this isn’t an inner city school in a big city. This is Conway, and for Conway standards, I am appalled at the 3 ring circus they are trying to pawn off as an school. My children were forced to go here as overflow since we moved during the school year. My daughters have always been outstanding students, but they sentence to Jim Stone almost ruined my middle girl’s chances of success. She was repeatedly bullied, poorly treated by her teacher, and looked over completely since Jim Stone had no stake in her education since they knew she would be going to our zoned school the following school year. On my daughters first day of school, they took the children across town for a school function at the Conway High School. My child was forgotten by her teacher, and had to be brought back to Jim Stone with another class. I had to make multiple trips to visit with the principle in an attempt to correct the way my daughter was being treated, which did little to improve the situation. So very glad to be at our new school, where my daughters have excelled!

To teach a child with special needs they need teachers that specialize with kids with special needs. Our daughter does not like it there nor does she like the teachers.

Ok. Special educational services are severely lacking, as is typical for Conway public schools.
