Unprofessional and dishonest.
I toured this facility 4 months ago since it was one of the only daycares in the area that told me they had availability around October/November for my 1 year old. Everything seemed great, they told me I needed to put a deposit down to hold my sons spot and gave me the application to fill out and have notarized, which I returned back to them fully completed.
When I reached out to them today to confirm a specific start date for my son, I was told there is now a ‘waiting list’. I asked to speak with one of the directors to get some clarity since I was told originally there was one spot available and leaving a deposit/application would hold the spot.
When speaking with the director, Miss Morgan, she continues to tell me that the waiting list is 16 kids long… and there is nothing they can do about it. She had ZERO reasoning as to why I was told a spot would be held for us and basically acted like I made everything up. Absolutely unprofessional, I cannot believe the situation this daycare has now put me in.
Beware of what they tell you when touring the facility, clearly no one at this place is on the same page.
I don’t even know where to start. Yesterday was my baby’s first day here. I was a nervous wreck and cried in front of everyone (how embarrassing, right?) Morgan and her staff treated me with such empathy and compassion. Throughout the day, I received photos and updates, which did so much to ease my concern. Everytime you walk in, kids are having a blast and everyone is all smiles. When I arrived to pick my son up, his teacher, a sweet, calm soul named Miss Cadeeja, was holding him and he was grinning. She asked insightful questions and really took the time to get to know him and his personality, and her patience and gentleness was matched by her humor and professionalism. She even got him to nap, which is unheard of! The owner, Shera, was also present in the afternoon and was so reassuring and friendly. Plus they have a coffee truck on Fridays! I’m already breathing easier knowing my little man will be so well-cared-for and entertained while I’m at work. This place just radiates love and happiness. And the price per quality element is unmatched. I’m so thankful I found this gem. <3
My child is part of the first graduating class of WCA. I am so very proud to say that. He has grown socially and academically in a way that leaves me in awe. I highly recommend WCA because they are transparent, safe, and genuinely love and support their students and families. My child has a great deal of allergies. He was always well fed and we were never concerned about his safety. The staff’s communication is impeccable. The structure and culture will prepare your child for grade school, but also allows and encourages their individual personality to shine. Having the peace of mind that your child’s caregivers are in many ways, an extension of yourself is priceless. My child is part of the first graduating class of WCA, and I am so very proud to say that.
