I used to love this school. But since i moved from Colorado, it has become a horrible school. Right before i left the school, the principal was getting tired of some people being a little mean. So Dr.S (the principal)came up with a horrible solution and got these red stickers. In the morning some people would get a red sticker, and that meant nobody could talk to you and you couldnt talk to anybody except the teachers. When my friend and best friend got a red sticker we found a spot where the teachers couldnt see on the playground and we talked whenever we could because we knew that those rules were very unfair and we disobeyed the rules i guess. And the school has gotten even worse. My friend and best friend have now left the school because its so bad, they fired a super good teacher “Mrs. Eltagonde for getting some bad reveiws on the school and the way that she had been teaching. There was 4th grade detention given for no homework. ITS HORRIBLE! I recommend dont enroll your child in the terrible school.
If I could rate this school as a 0, I would. Don’t get me wrong, the teachers were “nice”, but the education is absolutely sub par! My children were in this school for 2 semesters before I pulled them out and back into public school because it was so starkly obvious that my kindergartener was literally learning nothing in school! She had been in preschool for three years prior to this and had learned NOTHING more than she had there! No structure for kinder curriculum at all! (Math, reading etc. are just flat out not being done). My district public school just did an assessment on her for her grade level and she is literally FAILING kindergarten by state standards! She has so much catching up to do before she can even come close to the skills of her peers! I’m absolutely infuriated by the lack of education at this school, do not be duped into thinking you are getting any superior education at all!! I wish someone had warned me, maybe then my baby girl wouldn’t be struggling so much!
James Madison was an awful school..people in the upper grades weren’t aloud to express themselves. And people that needed to talk to someone the teachers would just question the students ,then if they heard there was a problem the teachers just mad a big speech or changed the subject! This school so far has been the WORST school. It make sence though because it has the Wost principal who stabbs people in the back and makes it were nobody can trust her!
