As a foreign student at this small school, I will NOT RECOMMEND coming here! I found out their expectations for graduate students are different from the reality shown in the brochure. You will hear professors say to you: “This is a safe place to fail; ask me anything I’m here to help; you are here to thrive; feel free and go for it.” But it’s misleading and dishonest because they judge you and grade you harshly at every step in the process. Believe me: you will experience the feeling of frustration. And your love of learning the subject material is taken away. Under these circumstances, it is not surprising that the graduate college was taken over by another school — again rebranding to change student perceptions. Yet the absence of real change still exists. Face it: the academic culture here is to discourage others. It’s not a happy place. Stay away, you have been warned!
Great people, excellent education
