My 5 year old son transferred into Ortona in the middle of the year. He had so much anxiety about learning and hated school. He was lonely and felt he was not a good student. We were immediately welcomed into the school community and were so blessed to get Ms. Wood for his Kindergarten teacher.

The principal, Mr. Adkins is amazing and is student focused. All the teachers have been super helpful and kind to our son, but Ms. Wood has been perfect for him. She is so creative, loving, and patient. She was constantly trying new ideas and strategies to help him learn and build his confidence. She spends her own money on treasurers and fun new ways for the children to learn. She teaches each of her students as individuals and takes time with parents every day. I have been so amazed at her talent and dedication. Now my son loves school. He has learned to read and write with more conference and feels empowered to take risks and try new things. I am so grateful for this little school and the hard working and gifted teachers who invest in the children there. If you are new to the area or are looking for a fabulous kindergarten teacher, this school is fantastic.

This school is horrible. My daughter is having problems with billing and yet nothing is being done. All they tell her and me is she needs to worry about herself. Try telling a 9 year old little girl that when everyday she comes home crying because of the horrible things these two boys keep saying to her. Its absolutely ridiculous..My son’s teacher is absolutely the laziest teacher I have ever came across I ask her to send home worksheets for me and my son to do together for extra work to help him catch up and she says to me worksheets are pretty much non existent. They do not do what is necessary for children at all. And don’t get me started on the academic coach. But I will be having my children removed from that school very soon. I don’t recommend this school at all.
It was a living HELL at this school Mrs.airgood was the worst teacher they would yell and hurt us everyday God needs to help this school there a literally cats running in the school
