Ignore the hate comments, there are actually good things about this school, teenagers are just always pessimistic. Its just life. Altogether, you can make many good friends. Most of the teachers are great and will grant extensions and help with work. Of course there are some exceptions but majority rules, this school is great! i read the hate comments and i know most of the people. They were the people who were bullying or being bullied by the bullies.
I can only give this school one star. First of all, the bathrooms are filled with students vaping, and the second-hand smoke is overwhelming every time I enter. It’s incredibly unpleasant. Secondly, some teachers are incredibly unfriendly. Take King, the 12th-grade coordinate teacher, for example. She prioritizes grades over student well-being and never cares about how students feel. Then there’s Lily from the international office, who has advised many language students to drop out simply because they didn’t meet academic standards. It’s heartless. Her colleague, Jessica, is always looking for trouble and is extremely rude to students. She ignores messages from parents during working hours as if she can’t see them. Don’t trust what you see on YouTube; reality is quite different. I’m sharing these experiences to shed light on the true situation here.
I used to go to this school, I am an immigrant from the USA and i was bullied very very badly by a few students to the point I had to leave. The staff were no help in this situation, Ms. Mercedes, the year 8 coordinator, didn’t hand out any punishments and let me and a few others suffer. If you are looking for a school in Melbourne don’t go here if you have the option.
Disgusting Den of Decay: A Review of Brighton secondary college

Where do I even begin with Brighton secondary? This decrepit excuse for an educational institution embodies everything wrong with neglect and mismanagement. From the moment you step through its grimy doors, you’re hit with a musty stench that seems to have taken up permanent residence in the walls. It’s as if the very air is infused with the essence of decay.

Let’s talk about cleanliness–or the lack thereof. The floors are perpetually sticky, as if a giant spilled a soda and no one bothered to clean it up. Dust bunnies the size of small rodents lurk in every corner, and the bathrooms? Don’t get me started. They resemble scenes from a horror movie, with graffiti etched into the stalls and a perpetual puddle of questionable liquid on the floor.

As for the facilities, they are straight out of a time capsule from the 1970s, complete with outdated textbooks and broken desks that have seen better decades. The “state-of-the-art” computer lab boasts ancient machines that chug along like tired old horses, barely capable of loading a webpage without crashing.

But the real kicker? The student body. Everywhere you turn, there’s a cloud of vape smoke wafting through the air. It seems like the school has its own microclimate of fruity-scented haze, thanks to the legion of students who have made a hobby out of polluting their lungs right under the noses of indifferent teachers.

In conclusion, Brighton secondary is a pitiful excuse for a learning environment. It’s a place where ambition goes to die and cleanliness goes to hide. If you have any aspirations for your child’s education or well-being, steer clear of this cesspool masquerading as a school. Your sanity–and your child’s future–deserve better than this sorry excuse for an educational institution.

i hate this school so much dont go here, i wish i never came the teachers do nothing and so many people complain about how much of a terrible school this is. i cant even write how much i hate this school go to any other one except this.
