The daycare is 15 mins away from me and before going I spoke to the manager and asked if there was availability for my 6 month old son she told me yes there was a spot that just opened but it was a first come first serve , I told her ok my son was taking a nap but Im definitely on my way she told me no worries not to wake him while he was taking his nap that she had my name. So when my son woke up an hour later I was on my was mind you I called and let them know they told me ok to come, when I get there Im waiting 15 mins before the manager comes out and gives me a whole tour and towards the end all when will he be starting I tell her next week and thats when she hits me with the lady right before me paid and reserved the last spot left mind you I already told them I was coming and my son was going to join by the ELC program plus waiting almost 15 in the office to get a tour and be told that the spot was filled was sooooo unprofessional and a waist of my time I was soooo upset no consideration at all.
I have had three children go through Rising Stars Academy over the last 7 years. I toured almost every daycare facility on the east side of Volusia County and Rising Stars was by far the best daycare facility I had seen. It is obvious that the teachers and staff care about each child and that their safety, wellbeing and education is priority. All of my kids were always happy when I picked them up. Currently, my youngest wakes up each day asking “are we going to school today?” because he wants to see his favorite teachers, Ms. Daria and Ms. Felicia.
My oldest and middle are now in elementary school and both are gifted due to the foundational skills they built while at Rising Stars Academy.
I cannot tell you enough what a blessing it has been having my kids at Rising Stars Academy. They make being a working mom much easier!
I have had all my children enrolled at rising stars academy. My son was one of the first students when they first opened and my youngest attended as well as my step son. Its been about a decade and I wouldnt go anywhere else to bring my children. Without a doubt or hesitation. They are clean, efficient and safety and education are always a top priority. My children have excelled in elementary school since they graduated VPK at rising stars, due to the knowledge,morals and values instilled at this facility. If you are a working parent and want to feel peace of mind that your child is in good hands while you are working each day, dont look any further! I absolutely love Rising Stars!!
