Seriously hate this school, I spent four years of my life here and I can’t stand it. The Vice principle at the time I attended was an awful human being. She took favor towards the bad students giving them the benefit of the doubt, while she continuesly disrepecting the good students that never get in trouble. Her name was Valery Delseg. I also experienced bullying from the staff members as well. Sometimes the teachers marked me absent and when my parents came to speak to the secretary to fix it, they always refused, claiming that I was skipping class. Even with evidence showing that I wasn’t, they never fixed it.
One of the teachers ( Mr. Price)yelled at me and accusing me of being hard headed, telling me I wasn’t good enough, and how worthless I was. What kind of teacher does that to a child?!!!! And Kathy Lathrop, was a horrible English teacher. She has an attitude problem, and doesn’t know how to keep things to herself. She’s always spreading students personal information around school as if it was her right. Thank God the broad of education removed her from the school. She was a child and doesn’t understand that as a teacher she can’t go around treating people like they are garbage because at he end of the day, all the teachers there act like they don’t have bosses, who can fire them and how they can be sued for misconduct. Because of my experience here I ended up having to go through 6 years of therapy and till this day every therapist I see tells me I need to get on medication for my depression and anxiety. I can’t even walk around that neighborhood without getting panic attacks.
TRUST ME THIS IS NOT THE SCHOOL TO SEND YOUR CHILDREN TO. They yell at you, embarrass you in front of everybody and have the nerve to pull you aside and ask you what’s wrong. ??????. They don’t understand how to separate their personal life from their professional life. Always spreading students business around.??????
The teachers love making the students feel belittled, demanding respect but can’t give it back. ?????? clearly they don’t have any home training, but I know for certain if a teacher or an other adult did the same thing to their child, they would lose their mind. Trust me not every adult deserves respect, I’m pretty sure rapist, murders , and child Molesters are all grown ups. In which none of them deserves respect.
Lastly, I wrote a comment for my year book explaining how much I didn’t enjoy being in that school, but the yearbook editor removed my comment and wrote a bunch of lies about how amazing “I” thought the school was, when clearly the teacher in charge of the yearbook club stated we could write our true feelings towards the school. And the fact that my statement was removed is a violation of my rights towards Freedom of Speech.
The board of education needs to take a closer look at this place. They need to hire better teachers and make sure they do background checks too. Or shut the school down completely. Hopefully all that has changed since I’ve been there. No child should ever go through what me and so many other students have gone through.
P.s. the only good teachers were the Gym teachers and Guidance Counselors. I would rate this school negative infinity out of 5 stars.
This school used to be the best. Now its so bad I want to transfer out of it. Mr. Gomez did a BAD job on selecting vice principle. not that she’s a bad person…its just that she’s not right for the job. I was better off with Mrs Delsig. the only people that I actually kinda LIKE from that school are Mrs.Lopes, Mr.Price, Mr.Z and Mr Lojo.( I feel that) Everyone else needs to work on what they do. We need Mrs Delsig back, she was good with discipline and still wasn’t as strict maybe because she was a nice person to be around. I pray that this review will force this school to get better but if it doesn’t I will just have to leave due to my discomfort. THE END. I’m sort of in a bad mood so this review isn’t really that accurate…maybe the other ones are.
Ok I hate this school! The food is trash and can be cold is common situations! The staff are nice and the teachers too but sometimes the school is too strict! They do very stupid things but have very fun projects students can do…but with the cost of money. That’s right everytime they have social activities you need to pay! Uggg even school 27 and 14 are better then this junk
