I was already familiar with the styles taught there, which were enough of a reason to try it alone, but the instructor was what brought me in. Having taught Marine Corps instructors, he clearly had tons of experience, but he learns how we learn and teaches us that way.
It can be intimidating to learn something new like this, but the group is cohesive and excited to help and learn in the process. There’s a strong community feel here.
I’d highly recommend it.
I’ve been training here for over a year and have had an incredible experience! The teaching is extremely high quality and is scaled to each individuals’ ability. Learning martial arts here has benefited me both physically and mentally by building up my strength, confidence and discipline. The mental strength I’ve gained through training here has overflowed onto many other aspects of my life and has been invaluable to me.
If you are serious about learning a martial arts then this place is for you. SiFu Ken Roberts is an exceptional Teacher with a wealth of knowledge of martial arts. Every class is different in that you learn something new, but taught in a way that doesn’t overwhelm you.
