Our journey at South Shore Montessori school just started a few weeks ago. I can already tell that my child loves it there , my 2 1/2-year-old daughter has never been in school before and I was so afraid that she will be uncomfortable being around other people and kids but all the staff of South shore Montessori made sure that my daughter had the best experience ever. It is very pleasant to see her happy to go to school each morning and excited to see her teachers and her friends. This is not just an ordinary daycare where all the kids do is play. My daughter came home just after being there for three days reciting a poem that Ive never heard which I knew was taught to her in school , it was very exciting for me to hear! I have always loved the Montessori method and taking my daughter to South Shore Montessori and getting daily updates of her progress just proved that I made the right decision to put my daughter in this school.
We have 3 children at South Shore Montessori and we love the place! Suzie and the entire staff go above and beyond to make sure South Shore Montessori is one of the best Montessori schools in Houston.
South Shore Montessori has wonderful functions for the kids and they also recommend great parenting books to read. They maintain a wonderful Facebook page and they even send out weekly emails that keep both my wife and I up do date with current events at the school.
I also love the fact that anytime I have a concern, all I have to do is pick up the phone and call and normally I will get a call back the same day either from Suzie or one of our children’s teachers.
I cannot convey how happy I am with South Shore. They have an outstanding, diverse Montessori environment that really allow each of our kids to thrive and learn new things every day.
We consider South Shore Montessori part of our family. My daughter has been attending since 2017 and we couldnt be happier. Weve watched her grow, learn, and gain numerous skills which she applies daily. The teachers at SSM have touched our lives and continue to impact her in positive ways. Our teachers challenge her with tasks and she looks forward to seeing them daily. As a parent I appreciate how the staff keeps in contact with our family- emails, calendars (filled with activities and friendly reminders), brightwheel app, phone calls, and mail. Communication and transparency is important and the SSM staff is always willing to take a call, respond to a message, text, and email. We are grateful to have them as a part of our family. We love our SSM!
