I gave this school a 3 stars . I am going to start with the positive . This is a great school. Teachers are awesome as well ! The teachers care here for their students and have wonderful personalities! I love the teachers here . They are willing to help with anything you need help with . I especially love the hands on portion . They teach very well on giving injections and blood draw . I also would highly recommend the night class over the morning . I used to be part of the morning but had to switch to night . Night time has less students so if you need more one on one time in the lab it’s easier to get the teachers attention since there is less students at night . The only bad thing I have to complain about is the radiology portion. I take the ma(medical assistant) with limited x-ray. The teacher is pretty cool for radiology . How ever the schools schedule for radiology is very weird . You take 3 radiology classes total . However when they offer the radiology class the school mixes students up . All in one class they will put students that is barely taking their first radiology , and then they put students that are taking their last class of radiology (ALL IN THE SAME CLASS) . This is my issue . The classes are 4 weeks long . How is the teacher supposed to teach new students/students already in their last radiology class ? The teacher is not able to follow the schedule because if she’s teaching more stuff the older students need to learn how are the new students supposed to just “catch up” . This is like taking algrebra 2 befor algebra 1. It makes no since at all. There for I haven’t really learned much for radiology . It was a waste of time to take that portion . I would suggest you stick to regular medical assistant program . Other than that, the school is great .
Horrible waste of money and energy! Long story short, my daughter had a goal. Dental Assistant. Finished the course. Externship was waste. She never had her information submitted to proceed with her fingerprints through Texas, therefore she isn’t able to work doing xrays or anything that the position as DA would require. Offices wouldn’t consider her without that. She has called numerous times and never got any word back. After calling multiple times in addition to emails, one teacher finally told her she found her paperwork and shes not sure what happened. However, nothing has come of the paperwork still. Also, to make matters worst, they promised a graduation over and over and they never followed through. No Cap, no Gown, no celebration of any kind. After several more call attempts, we went by there and the school was shut down.!! It now moved to a remote location. This place is a sham. Do not waste your money, energy or time.! Complete joke. My daughter feels defeated as do I. We are out $6,000 and nothing to show for it.
Scam of a school! They bill you what your government loan is on top of the program charge. Literally a diploma worth less than $3000 came out to $16K!! I should’ve really done my research on the school. I’m still currently paying a school loan on a program I felt fit for me but unfortunately I was not able to get a job in this field right after completing program in (2017), due to misleading information from the school advisors. In my opinion it is an overpriced school, just stick to a regular college even if it takes you longer. For me I put my foot in to finish my program in a shorter time, but at the end it cost me more than what the actual program is worth. I would give 0 stars.
