I was recently speaking with a friend about North Colonie School District and he said exactly what I was thinking. This school is great, as long as you have no disabilities or struggles. I have a child with ADHD attending and he gets minimal support. From what I understand, most of the support is directed toward the kindergarten staff. The district itself is cold, uncaring, and condescending. My son wasn’t even supposed to go to this school. He was supposed to go to Latham Ridge. I understand that the classes were full but the superintendent refused to even consider transferring him when a spot opens up. We came here specifically to get into Latham Ridge. The bus company refuses to allow the driver to stop in front of certain houses even though it stops there EVERY DAY because there is a stop sign right there. Terrible experience so far. I will say that I like the principle. You can tell she actually cares which makes her seem out of place with the rest of the district.
Great staff, great facilities and newly built playground the kids love.
