I absolutely love Provo College! It fit my needs of an accelerated program and the schedule is great. I got so much awesome experience with their combination of VR, simulations, skills labs, and clinical rotations. The teachers here genuinely want you to do well and are available whenever you need them. Dean Lindley and Asst. Dean Sorensen are the best! There was another Dean during my first semester and when Dean Lindley came in she took the job seriously and everything became more streamlined. They took our suggestions seriously and improved our break area, we now have a little market inside. I cannot say enough about the wonderful teachers, Krista and Sharron who started as my Pharmacology teachers supported me and kept me going throughout the rest of my program. The teachers know your name, love to chat, and see how you are doing. I highly recommend this program and have referred several of my friends and coworkers. I have also met my best friend during my program and I am forever grateful for this school, my teachers, and the friends that I have made. I never thought I would be able to say I graduated nursing school but I can now thanks to Provo College!
Provo college is an amazing college. I made so many amazing friends, and learned more than I could have ever imagined throughout this program. Provo college wants their students to thrive. Doran the assistant dean and Angela the dean are amazing and will help you wherever is needed if you are lacking. The teachers are amazing. Traci teaches mom baby and that is the area I am most passionate about, and the way she taught it just made it all make sense. Andrew the mental health teacher is amazing and really makes you learn with activities. Nikki the senior seminar teacher truly is amazing and is the reason that I felt confident with myself and my abilities in my last semester with the biggest exam of our nursing school journey. If there is an issue, the deans and teachers will instantly jump on the issue to fix it in a timely manner. I would never trade my experience with provo college for anything.
Overall I had a relatively positive experience at Provo College. Academic faculty really want you to succeed, although they do have a lot of last minute changes making it hard to plan life around. Double and triple check with financial aid office during my time with the school seems like every semester it was someone new and no communication between them. The final nail was getting a email that I owed around $350 after I had been graduated for almost a year. And before graduation being reassured multiple times that I was squared up and my account was $0 as what is needed to graduate. I get a call saying it was a system error and I had already paid that balance but it was refunded but looking at bank statements no such refund was issued from the school. My advice take financial aid seriously, print statements, and run through all of it with a fine tooth comb.
