I cant imagine myself attending any other medical school. Noorda-COM has been a school that has allowed me to grow as a student doctor through a diverse learning experience and setting. As a husband and father of two, this school allows me to schedule my learning around family activities. This allows me to spend quality time with my family, something I was nervous about having time for. Medical school can be demanding at times, but at Noorda-COM I feel that I am in control of my learning experience. I am free to watch lecture and study whenever works best for me that day. From individualized success coaching sessions provided free by the school, to have a virtual platform that allows me to ask a professor for help on a topic at almost any time of day. These are aspects of Noorda-COM that place it far above other medical schools!
I love working at Noorda-COM! I’ve been to many other institutions of higher education in Utah as both a student and employee, and I am so impressed with the culture and feel at Noorda-COM. The well-being of faculty, staff, and students is a high priority, which facilitates an environment that is uplifting and supportive. Working in an environment that is positive, encouraging, and accepting is so vital for my personal fulfillment, and Noorda-COM meets those needs for me tenfold. Not to mention, the health benefits are phenomenal, and I have had the flexibility to work remotely at times when needed. In the medical school world that is too often full of hustle-culture, elated egos, and unnecessary competitiveness, Noorda-COM is a breath of fresh air. I highly recommend it to any and all perspective students, faculty, and staff.
Noorda COM is truly changing the medical school experience in all the right ways with a flipped classroom approach and implementation of current pedagogical approaches in how it teaches medical curriculum. The staff truly cares about us students and puts us first in all they do. They are malleable and friendly. They push us and have high expectations for ourselves and they do all they can to work collaboratively with us to help us achieve our goals.
Also, Noorda COM is one of a VERY FEW Osteopathic schools that offers all 3rd year rotation sites within a 45 min drive of the campus. This is an AMAZING benefit for students in their clinical years of med school. I could go on and on but I think you get the point. This school is the ABSOLUTE BEST!
