Firstly let me just say, my son’s teachers and the bus staff are both excellent. My review is solely reflecting the inability of the cafeteria staff to process lunch payments. My son just recently started school there and neither of the two payments we gave to the lunch staff were processed in a timely fashion. The first time we made a payment directly to the cafeteria manager. The next day, we received a note from his teacher that our son needed more lunch money. The next time we put it in his binder and made sure the teacher got it. The next day his school bucks account went in the negative with no payment reflected, so we called the school to find out what was going on. The cafeteria manager apologized, explaining that she wasn’t there yesterday, and then promptly hung up on us before I could find out if he had received a lunch. I tried calling back and was immediately transfered to a voice mail.
I have been working for this school, part time. Some staff and most students are very nice. It is a happy place to work there. However, some paraprofessionals are absolutely rude. They only talk to people they know. If you are new, and doing part time job, they ignore you consistently. If you want to work, subs or other part time jobs, don’t work with Paraprofessionals! PE, PPCD, and etc.
My daughter’s first school! Had to transfer here last minute from another school that was completely unprofessional and unorganized. They handled everything professionally, quickly and she has the best teacher and teacher’s assistant ever.
We are going to miss this school when we move!
