First off I want to Thank Wyotech for having me out and letting me tour the campus and talk to students. As a former grad 95, I was highly disappointed when they started going down the same path as some of the corporate take your money and run schools. But since the latest change over, I have been keeping an eye on them and have seen Wyotech returning back to that same school I graduated from that had integrity. During my visit I talked to students at random, in which I snuck off to talk with students that I felt werent the ones that would be picked for a commercial. I did not talk to any students with a negative attitude, everyone I visited was happy to be there, loved their instructors and was clear on what they wanted for their future. I have toured other schools where some students would literally tell me how they felt that like they were being scammed. To sum it up, I have been in this field for a long time, including owning a successful shop for many years. I would not hesitate to send any student of mine that was serious about getting into the field to Wyotech. I liked what I saw and especially liked the rigor, professionalism and the way students were never standing around!
Absolutely unbelievably awful school. I’m in the hospital right now because of WyoTech. They require these students to come to class regardless if they are severely sick or something else. I’ve been here a little over a month and I’ve never felt worse in my life. The teachers have not helped me at all even after being told to help me. They throw worksheets, tests and homework at you, leave you alone and expect you to understand it. Even one of the teachers tried to tell his supervisor that I had made a gun threat towards him to attempt to get me kicked out, now the students think I’m a threat and are scared of me. I was told too many lies before coming here. If you hear anything positive about this school, assume it’s a lie. I am happy to say I am dropping out and I pray that I never even hear of this place again.
I graduated in 2007 took Advanced Diesel, chassis fab and, Applied service management. When I started in 2005, they seemed genuinely interested in making competent graduates. When I was just about to graduate, they could care less. They got sued not long after that for lying about job placement out of their school. I recently tried to get my transcripts sent out of there to start college, and they have been dragging their feet and coming up with excuses the entire time. It doesn’t sound like much has changed there.
