6th/7th/8th – I walked into school, floods of people. The cafe was full the whole way, people weren’t allowed to exit the cafe unless they wanted to go back outfront of the school. -No going to the library before a certain time- Noting this – the days I needed to finish an assignment and I didn’t have a pass to the library to print something was a pain… the classes were harsh … teachers were either quiet, slacking , lacking of knowledge or other ways to explain or they taught but it showed they were also stressed on how much critera they had to teach and couldn’t handle the pressure. In all I feel like in total it was a depressing environment. Homework = way to much … 3 assignments in almost every class.
That would be like AP classes in highschool. The kids were immature; however, they could behave at points if they complied after being told, countlessly. I found it straining and stressful.. I had so much stuff on my plate and the environment didn’t help! It was the ugliest school I have seen yet! Electives were the way to go. Mostly the Arts and Computer classes I have had. Great teachers who teach and yeah they got depressed around the environment but they still treated people better than the none electives. Most of the retired teachers were the better teachers, Science and Some math teachers were good . Very few history teachers knew different skills other that taking notes.< Notes and monotone reading of textbooks. All together I found very little positive things in this school. I actually wanted high school just to get out of middle. No offense but this school needs alot of 'mending' and 'therapy'.
As a former student of this school, I can say that I had a pretty bad experience at this school.

Some teachers are creepy, some are racist, while others practically abuse their students. Others assign homework but end up losing student work, and as a result, cause students to get lower grades. Most teachers don’t care about bullying so you might as well not bother telling them anything.

The art class is garbage and very discouraging. Some classes are unfair, and the math department is horrific.

The dress code is understandable, but is extremely strict. Sometimes you’d get dress coded for no reason.

Many of the kids do drugs and bully eachother and it just seems to get worse as the years go by. Usually the bullies get away with little to no punishment and always continues.

The admins and faculty are rude and disorganized. They don’t care about anything and pretty much take things lightly.

Whenever I was at this school, we had around 2-3 bomb threats towards the end of the school year, which caused everyone to stand outside in the heat for a long time. The staff did nothing to prevent this or do anything to protect the students. Instead they blew it off and let it happen multiple times.

So if you’re planning on going to this school, just don’t. The bullying and unfair grades are not worth it.

As a 7th grader I must say this school is okay. It could be better.
*They don’t follow through with punishments.
*They can be a little bit eerie on dress code…though I understand .
*Some teachers need to be fired, PERIOD. They can be VERY hostile but when the administration comes around they act so angelic. To add, they seem to be focused to much on the FSA and not on the goals of their students. (I do understand that we are trying to get us to the path of an A school BUT, I don’t want to hear FSA THIS AND FSA THAT all day.)
*I would try to get involved if I were you, it helps.
*I think ADV students have a different type of treatment than REG students.
*ATTUUDES ARE THE MAIN THING SOME TEACHERS WANT TO HAVE.
*In summary Its an okay school but, they can do so much better than make most students feel like we’re just there for the FSA and actually make us feel encouraged and make 99.9 percent wake up and want to go to school.
