Love, love, love HSK! I really don’t know where to start. Over the last 6 years, Happy Sunshine Kids has become an extension of our family. We’ve had three kids start in the infant room and move on up through the preschool. My littlest is in the infant room now with a great group of caring teachers including Toni, Maria and Cecelia.

It makes me sad to see the lies and petty digs by a small few difficult people (and Competitors jealous of the great location and awesome product) who surely do not represent the many, many happy parents and kids with whom our children continue to have relationships with, even after they have moved on to elementary school.

Mrs. Sarah (owner & director Sarah Wyles), is a loving, caring head of school. For a few years, she had a director in place that probably made some bad choices, but now that Sarah is back day to day as director, everyone is on the same page. My 3 year old starts every day running to her for a hug. And, Mrs. Sarah has been instrumental in helping her transition now that she’s not the baby anymore and her big sister has moved on.

My wife is an RN. I am a business owner. We’ve never once questioned our decision to place each of our kids in their care. But the biggest evidence comes in the love my kids obviously have for their school and their teachers. You can’t fake that.

Take a tour. Talk to a REAL parent. Send me a request if you have a question. You’ll be happy you did!

In the mean time, I’m going to talk to other REAL past and current parents and ask them to share their stories. It’s time HSK got the kudos it deserves!

We started my daughter in the Infant Room at 3 1/2 months, when I went back to work, and in the middle of the pandemic. It was an emotional choice, but after a virtual tour with Christine, we started to feel like this could be a great thing for her. It was incredible. her teachers, Jen and Ana Maria, were so loving and kind, exactly what you hope for when leaving your very young infant in someone else’s care.

Each week Jen developed a thoughtful curriculum for the kids to help advance their motor skills or introduce them to new sounds or textures. At 4 months old, she was doing art projects! They read books and sang songs and would take the children outside to dip their hands in tubs of water and explore plastic water toys. Every moment was educational. I am certain that my daughter’s verbal and physical advancements can be attributed to her time at KA Pasadena.

I always felt comfortable discussing our daughter’s needs with Miss Jen, and knew that they would have communicated any issues or unlikely behavior to me. Each day, I knew our daughter was safe, happy, and learning something new.

As first-time parents, we adored the daily updates–fun photos and videos with thoughtful captions, a detailed roster of what she ate and when, diaper changes, etc.

We’ve since relocated and are missing her teachers so much, as well as Miss Susie, Miss Christine, and all the other teachers we got to know while there. This place is very special to us. We are so grateful that our daughter’s first learning experience came from the amazing team at KA Pasadena.
