My daughter has been attending Lowther Hall since prep. She is now in senior school. She enjoys going school so much and I have never seen one day she comes home from school being unhappy. From their early years at Lowther, the girls are taught to approach learning with a “growth mindset”, gaining a valuable set of skills for life.
Its a good school, been there my whole life k-12. Great opportunites such as trips overseas, good support of staff. Sometimes higher staff feel more in power and look down upon. But its otherwise a great time, they have a psycholgoist, coordinators, and teachers that will spend a lot of time to help you reacher and develop your knowledge. Wish there were more subject opportunities. You pay a lot so you hope theres a lot more exprience of the outer world and reality beyond school, I wish they do more for after high school so you can feel prepared about paying for bills or understanding more about how to/what to expect from the world around us. They have a great careers counceller to for yr 10-12.
I went here for 8 years. I was continuously bullied, but teachers cared more about if you’re wearing the right socks.
The teachers are bullies, too.

Lowther is a truly excellent school, with fantastic leadership and a generally excellent standard of both teaching and student support. There are near endless opportunities for development of the ‘whole girl’ – be it in academics, sport, art, drama, music, etc.
Like all things, it’s what you put into it that makes the difference. It’s the type of place that demands a lot from students, and indeed parents, but in return gives back a fantastic education, for all of life.
