Honestly, this school sucks. Im just a freshman and I already want to transfer. Every time I have to step inside this building makes me want to cry. We arent allowed to wear hoodies even though it seems they put the air conditioner on full blast. They dont even serve hot lunch, either you get cold lunch in a bag in 2nd and 3rd period or you have to go up to another school to get hot lunch. Its so overcrowded here, everybody is pushing and scrambling to get to classes IN ONE MINUTE. 8th graders, if you put this down on your highschool application list, remove it immediately.
I recently graduated Academy of Finance and I can easily say that my time there has been extremely influential on the person I have become today. The administration isnt the best and at times the hour long trip to LIC from Lynbrook wasn’t always my favorite thing to do, however, the community is amazing. The school has a sense of togetherness that no other community has. The teachers and students alike make the building more than just a school. Tons of business courses and opportunities. GO HERE!
Was pretty good my four years there had some good times. Yes the uniforms are bad but you get use to that and dress down you dont have to pay for it. Just wear the uniform and yea small building which lack some classes and clubs. But the clubs offer are pretty cool and you can always make your own clubs. Most of the teachers are very chill. Anoba is a goat as long you listen to his advice and enjoy his teaching it will last you a life time.
