I sent my kids for one trial three years ago and on their own insistence they enrolled the following year. This was the best decision for our family.

Since joining, my kids have demonstrated a love for learning that I had yet to see instilled in them in a previous private school and our local public school. They are now self-motivated, driven, and curious learners because of Acton Academy. Even though it is a relatively small setting, I have seen my children develop socially because they need to face challenges and cannot get lost in the shuffle as they did in a bigger school. Now my kids approach tough conversations with maturity and tact beyond their years. They also face challenges with a remarkable sense of resilience and creativity because they practice this at school. Finally, but by no means least important, you could not find a more caring group of educators than at Acton Academy. Kate is a compassionate, intelligent, and innovative educator. She has been constantly improving and developing the school and is an absolute visionary. Ms. Danielle is the warmest educator I have met with remarkable insight and kindness. She has developed individual relationships with each of my children in the studio and has made a deliberate effort to connect and empathize with each kid she interacts with. She is smart, articulate, an excellent role model, and a creative educator and guide. Tony is an outstanding administrator keeping the school improving and growing and is a friend to every child – greeting each one by name and with friendly banter. This school has changed the arc of my family – my children are now on a path of growth that I could not have done alone.

My children 9yr and 10yr started attending The Acton Academy. We came from a traditional school. Where my children were just 1 out of 30 other children. They were told what to learn and when to learn it. At Acton every child is on their own learning path! It’s exciting to see them excel. My son requires more time and patience where as my daughter loves challenges and is thirsty to learn. This school has been a God send for both.

My children have never been more excited for school. Acton completely re-wires children’s brains. The Acton Academy motto is “every child is a Genius”. When we first started I thought that was cute, but as we continue to embrace that motto at home we realize every child is a GENIUS in their own way. My son started from not wanting to talk about college to announcing he will be attending Harvard. Whatever my kids end up doing in life I’m confident that Acton is giving them the tools to deal with real life situations.

The space is top notch. Everything from the paint to the tiles has been hand picked to be the best environment for learning. Not to mention the architect is the same man that designed The Khan Lab School, Google Code Next Lab,Silicon Valley Engineer Center, Riverbend School, Columbine Elementary, High Tech Collaboratory.

Last but not least. Mrs. Kate and her team of guides are brilliant. Ms.Danielle has become a force, with her one question “is that a good Decision?”. She lets the children think and acknowledge their actions. The guides are not only welcoming, motivating, Kind and intelligent people. They are wholeheartedly there for each and every child in any aspect they need.

Acton Academy has been an amazing opportunity for our kids. They are thriving with the unique learning methods, such as socratic discussions, hands on quests, and individualized e-learning, which all foster independent learners. My kids love going to Acton, to the point that they actually miss school on weekends and vacations. It is such a nice feeling to observe that all of the kids are excited and happy; it is quite apparent every time I pick up and drop off my kids.
