My son started his journey late in Pre-K school 2018 stayed till his first grade. He loved this school and we loved all his teachers, but we recently got a new home and had to move to the South side. Their class size is fairly adequate, there were assistants during my sons time who helped the teacher during class (thank God) and every kid loves their huge playground. If you think the drive up line is long over there then wait till you get to my sons new school where we at now. (it’s twice longer though it’s a bigger school) Even during pandemic with the online classes the school held it together very well. Overall we recommend this school, all of my sons teacher paid close attention to his well being. (Oh yeah he got those little notes or reminders too from the teachers if he misbehaved at some times but that’s part of kids growing up right?) He is doing well at his new school getting perfect scores in phonograms, pays attention to the teacher and gets along pretty well with other kids. Nope, we didn’t volunteer to help in class coz of our work schedule conflicts but if ever the teachers needed help with supplies or fund raising events we made sure we signed up and participated.
Great school. It’s hard but if you make it , it’s worth it. Best behavior, dedication, responsibility and respect are expected from
students. Traditional way is a timeless classic. Great amenities and specials. Wish the grading will be regular grades vs 83 % is a C..Teachers, principal , nurse, front office are all wonderful. Professional , reliable , helpful , effective and friendly. Shout out to Mrs. Freeman( awesome hats style, Wonderful teacher- but less homework pls:) , Mrs. Junker , Mrs Shineault, Mrs Wilkins, Mr Fackler and Mr Herndon, Mr Vecuna. Keep up the good work! This is the kind of school I grew up in – love that our kids can have the same! Our kids will treasure the memories made here, teachers they get to admire, respect and remember for a lifetime. Thank you! Hoping for a great new school year!
We enrolled our daughter for kindergarten at ATA after realizing the public school system was a joke. So far, we are very happy with it. The principal was nice during our tour and ensured us it was a great decision. We love the fact that they do NOT teach sex ed and keep personal politics outside the classroom. That stuff is left for the parents to teach, as it should be. Mrs. Drew is awesome, and our daughter just adores her. It’s very easy to communicate with her, as well as the principal when I need anything. My husband and I love that we have the option for walk-up pickup instead of wasting gas sitting in the car line. It’s so much more convenient and quicker. We hope to keep our daughter in this school and enroll our son when he’s of school age.
