For anyone looking for an alternative to “traditional” schooling, I wanted to share a game changer I found for my family. My 9-yr-old and 12-yr-old transferred from a local charter school (things were just too chaotic there) to AdLife Academy in December. And oh my gosh, it’s amazing!! It’s sort of like a combo private school + homeschool situation. It’s located on a cool campus in Pasadena, so the kids are still “going” to school everyday. They’ve made friends already and I swear they learned more in December than they did all of Aug-Nov at their old school. It’s not free, BUT a local charter school we joined pays for half. It’s kinda ideal! I can’t believe how lucky we are that we found it, so I felt compelled to share it here in case anyone else’s kiddos are completely over their current school situation, like mine were.
