Our oldest started HS at A-tech this year. Couldn’t be happier. He has teachers who inspire and encourage. The kids are given so many opportunities to explore their areas of interest. It’s a great environment, filled with kids who truly want to learn and better themselves. The brains, talent and dedication exhibited by not only the students, but the staff as well, is very impressive. On top of it being a great school, academically, they offer so many extra curricular activities and clubs for the students to explore. The administration is top notch as well. Mr. Synold is open, honest and makes parent’s input and involvement feel welcomed. The school also offers plenty of support and opportunities for parents and students to gather information about preparing testing for college.
I’d highly recommend A-tech for any motivated student who wants an edge going into the work field and college.
As of 2017, I am a senior at this school. Since 2013, I have almost never had any issues with anyone or anything involving this school. The main reason I went to this school was to escape the bullying that I went through during my middle school years. The entire staff at this school DOES NOT tolerate bullying at all. They will crack down on any possible cases & solve them ASAP. Although I may not have gotten the program area I desired, it was still very insightful for a potential career in the future. The only complaint I have about this school is that it smells moldy (it doesn’t mean that the environment isn’t clean, however). It’s probably due to the fact that the school has been around for 20+ years. If you, a potential student, are serious and interested about the opportunities this school provides, you should definitely go to this school. You cannot go wrong here at all.
Depressing and unsafe. A male student physically attacked me in the hallway and the staff did nothing to remove them from the school. Two teachers witnessed the student attack me. When I talked to the principal about how I upset I was from still having to go to class with a person who attacked me he said, well you didnt say anything about it so we didnt do anything about it. Why did I still have to go to class with someone who attacked me? What did the student need to do to me to get removed, attack me again? I thought putting their hands on me was enough. Anyways that just shows how much the school cares about their female population.
