The school is really bad. My son comes back from school crying. They don’t prioritize students. They recently accused my son of cheating on the final exam. He came back home devastated and crying, and he stayed alone for more than a week. Not to mention, they don’t teach students. Overall, I don’t recommend the school to anyone; therefore, this school should be closed. 1 star.
As a former student who spent 13 years at this school, along with two siblings who also attended (one recently graduated and one currently enrolled), I can confidently say that this is the worst school to send your children to considering the fees. I am writing this review four years after graduating from AIS because of the disorganized experience my brother (currently enrolled) is going through. There are so many better schools in this price range. I cannot count the number of bad experiences I have had with this school’s management, their culture, and how they deal with students and parents. However, this review does not apply to the teachers, as they were wonderful people (of course, there were a few bad ones). It is a shame that they had to deal with a horrible administration that felt the need to be in control of everything. This school prioritizes only one thing: MONEY.
I want to share my honest opinion about the school so you can understand it more. I’m a student in AIS Grade 9, and I joined last year. The school really welcomed me and explained everything clearly. Teachers are so sweet here and always help; they don’t get annoyed with us. In fact, they always ask if we need help. Students are very open here, and everyone knows each other; it’s easy to get along with people here. For the exams and tests, you have to make sure you’re on track and focusing; otherwise, you can fall behind. My favorite part about the school is that they do a lot of fun activities every term, from trips to small celebrations, like wearing anything you want to school based on a theme. They took us to Greece this year, and it has been my highlight of 2024. I love this school and have no doubt about joining it.
Abu Dhabi International Private School is an amazing institution. The teachers are dedicated, the facilities are top-notch, and the curriculum is well-rounded. The school has a fantastic sports program with a wide range of sports activities for students to participate in. They have skilled coaches that promote teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship. Whether it’s football, basketball, or volleyball, students have the opportunity to excel and enjoy sports at school. It is a great place for students to learn and grow. I highly recommend it!
The interior of this school was nice, but the exterior environment and canteen were not. I don’t know about the curriculum or the fees, but the food in the canteen is expensive. The manakeesh was less expensive than the smoothie: Manakeesh – 8 dhs, Smoothie – 12 dhs. Honestly, I feel like I didn’t get my money’s worth. The manakeesh was hard (I know manakeesh becomes hard when it gets cold, but this one wasn’t even heated. If they had heated it up, it would have been fine). The smoothie, on the other hand, was bitter. I first ordered a mango smoothie, then I changed to lemonade because the mango smoothies had run out. They said, “Okay. Please wait a minute.” Then they informed me that the lemonade had run out as well, so I had to order the strawberry smoothie. The canteen wasn’t clean, but there was entertainment: table tennis and foosball. However, because the entertainment took up so much space, the tables were cramped. The parking area isn’t even paved. If you look at pictures posted here from four years ago, you can get an idea of the exterior. In conclusion, it hasn’t changed for many years. I observed all of this when I went for an external exam yesterday.
My daughter just joined this school. Everything is good so far, but I would give it two stars less because of the parking lots and unfinished road work around the school. It is unsafe, disorganized, and the parking lot is an unpaved dirt road, which was disappointing considering the high hopes I had when I enrolled my daughter. Perhaps underdeveloped is a better term to use when describing the school’s exterior.
Abu Dhabi International Private School has been a home to me and my siblings for over 20 years, and it has been the most precious time of our lives. I was once a struggling student; I barely managed to keep my grades high. However, when I worked hard and improved my grades, I was recognized and rewarded by the school for my great progress. I feel comfortable sharing my opinions because there won’t be judgment. Moreover, the thing I appreciate and value most in my school is the diversity of both teachers and students. There is always room for innovation and creativity, which helps us build our critical thinking and enhances originality. I would recommend you enroll your child in this school filled with a welcoming environment.
