As music provider at APPS for 8 years we were disappointed and shocked to have our successful music program cut with no prior warning or the respect of a conversation. The leadership team at this school is led by Katrina Milder, who we have found to be negative and vindictive. The majority of students and parents who we have spoken with since her appointment about 4 years ago find her to lack positivity and social skills. She doesn’t inspire the children as she appears to look for problems rather than solutions and enjoys the power of her position. It is such a shame because the demographic and families in the area are wonderful and there are many lovely teachers.
APPS was a satisfactory school during my son’s time there, but since the change in leadership two principals ago, there have been noticeable issues under the current principal, Katrina Mildner. The school’s enrollment has significantly declined, and families have been opting to leave.

Regrettably, we made the difficult decision to withdraw our daughter from APPS in 2023 and enroll her in another school. This decision was prompted by her placement in an imbalanced composite class that didn’t suit her educational needs. Furthermore, our concerns were compounded by the school’s inadequate handling of playground bullying incidents, which left us dissatisfied with the overall experience.

Our daughter experienced a distressing incident in which an older child slapped her on the face. Unfortunately, the school failed to notify us about this incident, and it was only brought to our attention by the parents of another child who witnessed the assault after the school day finished.

The teachers are outstanding, the play ground is exhilarating, the education is brain powering when i first enrolled my son at Albert park primary i thought nothing of it but the joy i saw on his face every day when he came back from school made me so happy and proud. Parents do yourself a favour and enrol your kid now. Thank you Albert park primary school for the love, support and joy.
(sincerely Jack)
GOOD SCHOOL! Enrol your child here if you want him/her to succeed in life.
Plus the teachers give year 6s free time, so ovbiously they are extremely chill. Good school.
“Amazing school ten out of ten. Beats all the schools of the area with high praise and quality. Albert park is perfect for all.”
