My son attended this daycare for 4 months while we were on a waiting list for a few other daycares. I couldn’t get him out of there fast enough. The staff was always understaffed and frustrated. I once came in and saw one teacher caring for 10+ children (not legal or safe). The daycare director was often needing to step in when there was a shortage of staff which was always. The daycare often didn’t provide their staff with any resources. One time a teacher wanted to take the children outside in a splash pad and had to go into her own pocket to buy swim diapers for those children who’s parents couldn’t bring a pair. The daycare refused to cover it. The classrooms were often freezing. when picking up my son, I would often find my son strapped to a chair in a freezer like room while the teacher was cleaning the place and blasting adult music (sometimes with profanity). The food was also something to be concerned with. They feed the children refrozen and processed food. Aside from the fruit (which is scarce), nothing else is that healthy. I brought food for my son in every day for 4 months. My son was getting ear infections and catching colds because the toys were only disinfected at the end of the day. I had a friend who also had her daughter attending this daycare. She took her out 2 months before me and said that she rather take care of her her self at home than keep her in this so called daycare. The only upside is that it was new when my son started attending and there were many teachers that great and did care but were not given support to do their job properly. Aside from that, I would categorize it as very unorganized, understaffed, unsanitary, impersonal and just a big mess.
The teacher turnover is very high, multiple teachers came and went with zero communication from management. My son’s teacher didn’t show up on his first day and when I asked the director, Paulette, about it she gave me a dishonest response. Paulette also sent several unprofessional messages out to parents and did not communicate well with families. My 20 month old son was having challenges with hitting in the classroom (a developmentally appropriate behavior) and when I asked what her suggestion for strategies were, all she told me was that I needed to have him “diagnosed”. She claims to have an extensive knowledge in child development and education but was not ever able to demonstrate that. She ultimately told me we needed to leave because my son “pulled a shelf over on top of another child”, a classroom safety concern rather than an evil plan devised by a toddler. They are supposed to open at 6:30 and the one time I arrived at that time, Paulette was fifteen minutes late. When I took my son inside, she did not acknowledge me in any way. I even considered turning around and getting him because I felt so uncomfortable leaving him there alone with her. This all happened the week after I raised concerns about her to the regional director. My son has been doing wonderfully at his new school for weeks. Amazing Explorers is a nice facility and the rest of the staff were very kind and capable (especially Alicia). I would not recommend this place as long as it is being run by Paulette Clemons.
This is an awesome facility and the staff is super caring and welcoming. We visited about 6 or 7 daycares in the Pflugerville area, and this is the best tour we went on. It has been a great experience thus far for us and our son.

Miss J in the toddler room is very sweet and is good at dealing with all the children. You can tell she knows them and treats them well. The rest of the staff and other teachers are also nice and always greet our son by name every time we drop him off.

They try to teach the kids some skills early on and incorporate some arts and crafts type of stuff as well. The building itself is brand new and is spotless clean every time you go there. They have a live camera feed which is fun to check on from time to time to see what your little one is up to. They also have events to get the parents and kids engaged beyond the normal daycare stuff.
