My daughter attend the starter program and I had to withdraw her from there because on the 4th day I witnessed a pre-k student get yelled at by the teachers helper and the teacher was just standing there holding on to the kids wrist just “waiting” for him to get over it. I thought my child was just over exaggerating and since it was her first time in school I thought she just needed to get used to it but she would only cry when she would see her teacher and realize I was going to leave her there…on my daughter 2nd day of school before the incident I witnessed, her teacher told me she had a “rough day” so I didn’t think nothing of it but my daughter spend the whole day trying not to make me “mad” so when Friday came, she started crying and screaming not to leave her so I brought her home. Monday was no school day and so when I took her Tuesday the teacher told me she was going to hold on to her so I could leave which I said yes and left, on Wednesday I thought my daughter would have just got over it since Tuesday seem to go “fine” well that was the day I witnessed the incident so I took her to her class and sure enough she cried when she saw her teacher I withered her. I’m writing this review(3months) later because I just went to my brothers Christmas party and my daughter cried as soon as she saw his teacher and it hurt to see her traumatized cause thats exactly what these teachers do when they think screaming at kids is ok or a way to discipline. If allowing teachers to behave towards kids now in days cant be acceptable especially when parents are trusting them with their children. Parents please take in consideration of your kids feelings and “tantrums” cause they do not throw tantrums for nothing.
We are impressed with school management
and how much involved the teachers are at pre-k level and efforts they put in to make it a safe and fun place for kids . My child has shown great academic improvements since he joined. I would recommend this school to any parents who want to enroll their kids in pre-k program and lives in Denton.
Love how involved teachers are with their students and how much they involve us parents in our children’s progress. Ms. Garza and Ms. Biba you guys are awesome teachers and I appreciate everything you do. Thank you so much couldn’t have asked for better teachers for my daughter.
