I don’t even know where to begin, other than – find somewhere else to take your kids for swim lessons.

We came in with our kids for our first lesson and regretted it from the start. No one there had any idea it was our first time, which is kind of important when dealing with kids and water. Every instructor, not just the one we had, was grumpy and acted like they didn’t want to be there. It felt like the staff was just trying to get through their day without screaming and it showed. We did the parent and tot class and the instructor never gave us any information about what we were doing or why, or – even worse – how to do it properly. There wasn’t a lesson at all. We were just trying to follow along the “routine” as best we could with a scared infant and toddler. As a result, we were nervous trying to keep up with the class, which made our kids even more nervous and upset than they already were. And the more our kids got upset, the more we became ignored by the instructor.

While I’m sure feedback after class is routine, I was not happy that we were singled out to exit the pool last so we could receive “feedback”. I had no idea what we were supposed to be doing and my daughter has never been in a pool before so she was crying the whole time and clinging to me for dear life. No one wants to come do something they’ve never done before, receive zero instruction – and then have someone give you a grade for it.

And to top it off, even after sharing our experience with staff and management, their only attempt to remedy the situation was to waive the next month’s tuition while our 30-day withdrawal goes through – no refund or anything. So now I’ve paid for 4 weeks of swim lessons for 2 kids all for nothing.

I couldn’t get my daughter to submerge underwater, ever. Coach Brendan made her comfortable enough and had her do so and her fear went away from there on. Coach Naye puts a lot of emphasis into what she does and gave my child a lot more confidence. My daughter had anxiety with water and now she’s SO happy to go under water, float on her back and use her arms/legs, jump in the pool with assistance they’re still working on getting her to jump on her own, and she has only had 7 swimming lessons!!! It’s so worth it but aside from taking her to swimming lessons I watch what they do and try it myself with her when we go to the pool together.

You never really get the same swimming instructor and at first I was bummed out about that but every swimming instructor has their own personality so now I see why it’s best that they switch instructors.

They usually have 4 kids for a 30-minute session, sometimes it’s 1-3 too depending if other kids don’t show up and when it’s only 2-3 it’s even better because each kid gets more time. I got lucky one day and it was only her for an entire 30-minute session.

The ice cream they have are delicious and I love how they don’t MELT so quick so it doesn’t turn into a mess in the car. They also have lollipops at the front that my daughter looks forward to after her lesson as a reward.

It was easy to get make up classes. Sometimes they don’t pick up the phone but you just got to keep calling and they’ll eventually pick up or call the next day or leave a text.
