Arcadia is a great school during younger years. They are more helpful for students adjusting to high school in grade 7 and 8, they are more understanding and for the most part it’s a pleasant environment to take the steps into upper school.

However, as you get closer to grade 12 the quality progressively changes. For some students I have no doubt that Arcadia was the best possible option for them during their entire high school career, however, in my situation it was more annoying and frustrating then anything else.

I enjoyed going to Arcadia in grade 8 and 9, however from grade 10 upwards my opinion changed quite drastically. It felt to me that if you weren’t visibly struggling you rarely got help. If you weren’t academically struggling, or obviously academically struggling, you were pushed to a lower priority student.

Now that I’ve left Arcadia and have started University (a pathway I got little to no proper assistance with) I’m realising that a lot of the habits Arcadia instilled in me and encouraged in me are completely useless, and are only hindering how quickly I develop at University.

Arcadia is by no means a bad school, however it’s only suitable for students who aren’t quite sure what they want to do, or for younger students who have more time to adapt instead of needing to develop an ambition immediately for after school.

My daughter started at Arcadia College in year 10, after 3 terms of total disengagement from school due to crippling anxiety. Now completing year 12 (and a pathway to university course), her attendance is above 90%, her participation in class & extra curricular activities is amazing, but most importantly the smile on her face at the end of the day is priceless. Thank you to all the amazing staff @Arcadia College for your support, knowledge and kindness, you have made our futures much brighter.
Way too strict I came here to learn better and be happier not get threatened with suspension for holding my girls hand
My daughter came to Arcadia in Year 11 and it was the best move we made. The opportunities are endless and the support she received is what helped her through her senior years. She completed the Uni Program in Year 12 and got direct entry into Southern Cross University!! I would highly recommend anyone to make an enquiry to see how amazing this school is. My family, especially my daughter, are forever grateful to Arcadia.
My daughter started at Arcadia College in Term 3, 2019. Best decision we as a family could have made! My daughter was bullied and left behind academically at her old school. At Arcadia my daughters mental, emotional and academic needs are tended to in such an inclusive way. Her anxiety has calmed down due to not being under such a lot of unnecessary stress and pressure that comes with being in a mainstream school. Arcadia College has become our family. If you are looking for a school that will work with your child and their individual needs look no further, Arcadia College offers a rage of support from their loving teachers, teacher aides, students engagement officers, youth workers and psychologists. I could not thank this school enough for what they have done for my daughter and our family.
