My son just started in August and loves this school. The teachers are fabulous and so dedicated to teaching. This school is more challenging, however if your considering this school for your child and if they put in the effort they will do well. This school really holds your child accountable which as a parent I really like. I have seen a difference in my son and he is loving the education he getting here. He really wanted to come to this school because of the great reputation it has for education. The teachers put in so much effort in these kids that I can’t imagine your child not getting the education they deserve. They have such a great positive attitude here, and it shows in all of the students and faculty, office. Great Hearts it’s self has a philosophy. We love it!

Updating now my review from a year and a half ago. My son is being challenged here. Challenged and accountability, study habits, and the teachers have been great at communicating with me. We drive from Glendale to come here to this school. Yes it’s far, however it’s made a difference in our son. We’re not affiliated with staff here. We chose this school because education was important for him. So if that is your focus then please look into this school. He’s not a grade A Student. Grades are not the focus here. Being a great person is. This school will prep your child for life skills and education. The teachers work so hard here and they give so much of themselves. We really appreciate them. This is a great school despite what others say in their reviews. We’re just a average middle class family with a love for the arts and culture and classical education. So this fits our family. Seek out what fits for your child.

I am not sure where or how people say the teachers don’t know what they are doing, the admin is terrible, or that they are racist. My kids are half Mexican by the way.

This school will push your kids. The workload my kids at at public school was basically non existent. In theory they went to one of the top public schools in AZ as well. Coming here a couple of years ago was a breath of fresh air. The kids were finally challenged for the first time in school.

If your kids are not willing to put the time or effort in to class OR as a parent you are not willing to help your kids with homework when you need to, stay where you are. If you are looking for a school where your kids will get a superior education vs public school, then go here. If you want to put your kids on cruise control and let them slide by academically by all means stay in public school.

Virtually the only way you can learn here is if you were here your whole educational career, otherwise the switch is way to hard and not worth it. I was a student here for a year and everyone is overtly aggressive and bullying occurs all the time with little to no teacher care. Save your time. It’s not worth it.
