Very horrible school. Alison Bruing Hamati the principal needs to be fired. She views small children as criminals and does not know how to handle kids. My son attended this school and he has ADHD/ADD combined. They put him through hell. He poked another child with a thumb tac.. It was wrong I don’t justify his wrong doings but the way she handled it was beyond me. It happened in the morning and she waited until 5pm to call and tell me about the situation she ended the call with “He is lucky it didn’t puncture the kids skin other wise we would be talking about pressing charges” I called the Tempe police and explained to them what happen and I quote the Police officer said, “That is utter craziness, no judge would persue a six year old for that.” I then was advised to report what she said to me to the District office. The next morning Alison called and pathetically said sorry. My last draw was when my son was having a bad day and the office called me and said I needed to come pick him up. I told them I would call them back. He didn’t hit anyone he was just not listening. I called back and Alison answered I told her I could come pick him up but it would be two hours cause I was at work. She then told me if I didn’t come get him within the hour she would call CPS. I ended the call. I called CPS and told them what she said and they said she couldn’t do that because school was not over he wasn’t hurting himself or anyone else they advised me to file a police report in case she called them and made a false report. So I did they met me at the school I however got their first I got my son and his meds and withdrew him that day. The police did not take a report because she showed them a paper I saw her typing when I was their with the made up policy about calling CPS if kids are not picked up within the hour. I complained to the District office and never heard back. My son is now at a new school and has had a few bumps but is doing better then ever. The staff is nice and doesn’t treat him like a criminal like Arredondo staff did. Sad that he had to go through all of that. I feel bad for anyone who has their kids at this school and also want parent to know that they have a voice and not to let her get away with trying to intimidate people with government agencies with no viable cause. Oh and she never called CPS. Per the Tempe police if she did in regards to the situation she would have been arrested for making a false report. Stand up for your kids and don’t let them suffer at this school.
Hello, my names Trinity Smith… I attended this school my kindergarten first grade and second grade year. My teacher had tried to put me I’m special needs classes.. and I’m not special needs… I was bullied by the staff on campus and I hated it there. I am now a tenth grader graduating high school next year, at the top of my class. This school is horrible and I advise NO one to allow their child to attend for such a horrible education.
I went up there for a meeting with the principal. She is Racist!!!! With a Capital R . She tried to argue up and down that I signed my kid out when he hurt his knee at school. I never signed him out at all. I asked why they didn’t let me know about the injury an her response was it’s up to the nurse. She found out I didn’t sign him out an didn’t say sorry or anything. She SHOULD BE FIRED FIRED FIRED!!!!
