I think this is good school but there is definitely room for improvement. My daughter’s counselor did meet with my child one time during the school year regarding her academic progress, grades, and nor did she keep her abreast of her EOC exam score results. We have no idea whether she passed or failed the exams. I am a involved parent, but only a few teachers communicate with you and those that do wait until you call them to state a problem or concern. Which I think should be the other way around. I guess I am used to teachers when I was coming up, especially being the daughter of a teacher. Another, major concern grades. How do you give a child an A and then a (2) in effort, especially when they had either a B or C prior to get the A. Most parents don’t look at their kids grades but, I do. When I see things like this it makes me feel you just bubbled anything on the Scranton sheet. I also disliked that many teachers wait to the week grades go in, to post grades for the entire 9wks.

Also, this year my daughter completed the 8th grade. She will be starting next year as an High school student in the 9th Grade. There was no graduation ceremony for the 8th graders ??. That was a big milestone in thier lives and it was just like “oh well”. They didn’t even have a Middle school prom or school dance. She was a little down about that and I was too. She said they were told they had to pay their dues ??. Nonetheless I took her out myself to recognize her accomplishments.

Like I said it is a good school. My daughter has been attending APMCOA since the 6th grade. The school is 6-12th grade. I have seen the school come a long way, but it still has way bit to go. I believe the school ranges between 3.5-4. It does have the potential to get a 5. This is my honest opinion. I pray my daughter will have a successful academic year one which I will surely be involved.

It Was The Beginning of A Blessed Moment In My High School Days That Could Never Be Forgotten IN My Life ! I Thank GodAnd The People Who Opened Doors For Me ! And may God Bless Everyone Whom I Came In Contact With Me ! T. Doberson Class of 1964!
