The only good thing about this school is SOME of the teachers. Like the Chicanx studies & English class teachers. The students and staff are terrible. The school needs to be shut-down & reordered cuz many students, like a girl, got beat up by a boy who was bigger than her & the staff didnt do anything and she went to the hospital. This school shouldnt be called a school but a literal DAYCARE. If you want to go to a good college dont go here. If you want really good education dont go here. The science and art courses were okay. Teachers should receive way more help, and students shouldn’t be off the hook so easily; especially since so many are lazy & rude. Teachers need to have more order and some kids really need to learn how to respect others. Sports are 5/10 and the inclusivity is 4/10. It is fun, but the courses can DEF improve since they don’t prepare you for universities yet alone community colleges. There were definitely some hardworking few (who REALLY had to go above and beyond to simply learn) that did indeed get into rigorous universities like UCLA or UCI.
Aspire programs are great. Finally! A school program in a moderate to low income neighborhood that not only teaches my children but challenges them to think outside the box.
