I can’t give you a good first-hand experience of the school’s academic prowess, although my friends who have gone there constantly sing its praises, the theatre department blows me away time and time again. As a former company member, the director, Doug Sumey, is one of the most kindhearted and gentle people that I know. He is a fantastic director and he really makes you feel like you’re doing the show for yourselves, rather than just for him. Every play I have seen here was fantastic. You can see a play anywhere, but if you want a new world for a few hours , come see an Assumption Rose Theatre production
My daughter graduated from AHS very well prepared for college. She has life long friends, a deep faith, and 8 years after graduation, I am still learning stories she shares with me of her wonderful classroom experiences, fun on the ball field, and the list goes on and on. Best investment ever!!!
Went to watch a production of “Into the Woods.” The theater alone was pretty amazing for a high school.
