This is long, but worth the read…I just received this from my childs teacher at Atlantic Shores. I was practically in tears as I read it. There is so much more to a school than just learning to read and write…it is the people.

Recently, during one of my quiet times, I was reflecting on how truly blessed I am to be teaching at this school. I was praising God for the chance I have to make an impact on each of my students. I feel so honored that I have this incredible opportunity. During this time of reflection, I have been focusing on each child and the many wonderful things I’ve seen in each of my students over the course of the school year so far. I just wanted to take this opportunity to tell you how thankful I am for ______. I have seen him grow in so many ways already this year! He has greatly improved in his ability to concentrate, focus, follow directions, and stay on task. His reading has also improved! I’m often impressed by how quickly he catches on to our new math concepts. He’s especially excited about the new Mimeo that was recently purchased for our grade level! It’s so much fun for me to see how much he loves the use of technology in our classroom! One of the things I love most about ______ is how sweet, kind, and respectful he is. He really, truly has an incredible servant’s heart, and is always looking for ways to assist me in the classroom. What an amazing young man! Thank you for choosing Atlantic Shores! I feel SO blessed to have you and ______ in my life!

Thank you God for this school and these teachers!

I was so disappointed with this school. The bar is not set very high for these students and I highly doubt the students will be able to compete in a global society. The school is narrow minded, the teachers are aloof, grades are changed just from parental complaints, and if your child is cjosen for an honors program, you have to pay for it. My daughter spent one year there and Im so sorry that I ever put her through that. Im not even going to start on the faux christian education provided. This school is sub standard to say the least just feeling their way and my child was not going to be an experiment. Now that my daughter has changed schools she is a happier, more outgoing student with teachers that nuture her personally and educationally. Do not let this school rob you of your money, its not worth it.
