I am updating my review after 4 years. I wanted to tell the truth. I only made a positive review before because they promised me a Starbucks gift card..which btw, I never got. My experience at this school was TERRIBLE and traumatizing to be perfectly honest. My instructor was Tia. From day one this woman had an attitude. I totally bombed my first test because she was not clear on her teaching and instructions. I was devastated at my score and asked her if she could explain to me what I did not understand or did wrong. She simply looked at my paper and said “you did a lot wrong.” Without ever giving me an explanation of what I did wrong. I learned to not ask questions because she would either get annoyed, or just not answer. I just started going to my peers for questions. I thought she would be more sympathetic and helpful to me because we both struggled with a learning disability, apparently she could care less. I broke down crying and got very discouraged. I wanted to quit. I tried getting a refund but they refused to do so. My teacher also snapped at another student once and it was uncomfortable. In the end I ended up passing my class and got one of the highest scores on my State test. I worked very very hard. Fast forward 4 years later, and I have not once worked as a phlebotomist. No one wants to hire me because either I’m not bilingual, or I don’t have the experience. How am I supposed to get experience without someone hiring me? I don’t know. I wasted $2500. This was not worth it. I’m sorry that I wasted my time and money. I hope others have a more positive experience than I did.

I highly recommend this school, I initially started in class back in February before COVID hit. Linda was our instructor and she was amazing, very knowledgeable and cared about her students passing. Then COVID hit and everything was put on hold. I was part of the first online course they had. The experience was great. The instructor Andrea was amazing. She was tough but because of her I passed my National test on the first try. I was worried at first that the online course would be harder, though it was challenging as any course would be they did a really good job at the teaching method and making sure student were engaged. I have ZERO complains with the course. Labs were done a little later by Maira at the Victorville location. She did a good job at instructing and making sure we were comfortable with our own skills. As soon as that ended I completed my externship at VVGMC and that in itself was a good experience as well. Maira was extremely helpful in making sure I got my completion certificate as soon as possible so that I can apply to the state for my license, and landed a job at VVGMC as soon as I received my license. The whole thing takes approximately about 2 months. Took much longer for me due to COVID. This school really cares about their students and I highly recommend them. Thank you AUMT!!!!

!!Phlebotomy students ????!!!!
Just took the course this month march 2022 for phlebotomy and honestly it was great! The instructor Linda was so sweet, patient and very informative. She teaches you hands on as well, so perfect for me that I cant just do books. Mayra was very nice as was Jackie. They actually talk to you like they want you to succeed. Everything was clean and professional. They help you with the process of certification with NHA and your externship to the real facilities such as clinics and hospitals. If you want a career in the medical field, take this course, you wont regret it. THEY OFFER PHLEBOTOMY, MEDICAL ASSISTANT, AND EKG! 😀 ????????????
