I recently asked my son to rate his school, and he gave it 4 stars. but ilk give it a 5 stars just because I have witnessed significant improvements in my child since they joined this school.. However, he deducted one star due to a few concerns. Firstly, he mentioned that the ground floor toilet is often dirty, with urine on the toilet seat, making it unusable. Additionally, there is a pigeon nest in the upstairs toilet, which also prevents its use.

Another point he raised is the limited outdoor space for children’s activities. Currently, the boys and girls have to take turns every two weeks to use the blue court playground, which can be a bit restrictive.

As for my personal concern, I believe the school’s security is generally good, but there is room for improvement. It would be beneficial to separate the mosque entrance from the school during prayer times to ensure a more secure environment. Additionally, upgrading the surrounding walls with barbed wires could further enhance the safety and security of our children.

I really can’t stand the principal! This is suppose to be an Islamic school yet he refused my child to attend the funeral of his uncle. They love giving detentions for the silliest of things. I don’t why this school hires all the rejects from other schools. We pay so much in fees yet our kids can’t use the toilets because it’s always in a disgusting state! There’s a new campus that’s there and we are paying an increased amount for building funds and it’s still not opened to the students. Constant increase in fees and no improvements in the facilities . Classrooms all cramped up the hall. Such an ugly sight every time there’s a function and you look up the hall and see these container looking classrooms. The amount of fees we pay for our children and they don’t even get decent classrooms. I don’t recommend this school as long as they have the current principal.
Assalamualaikum,
I’m a student from the Australian Islamic College of Sydney ever since I had been enrolled for Kindergarten.
If your a parent currently looking forward to enrol your child in an islamic school, I HIGHLY suggest you to not enrol them here at AICS.

This school is just a way to make money and profit, they make the prices for both fees, canteen items and other things unnecessarily expensive. Students pay for awfully tasting pizza. One time, I paid for a burger and some chips, when I received my burger I took a bite into it and it was as stale as a brick. I had lost my whole appetite for a minimum of 2 days. Food is not that great, there are only sometimes where if you’re lucky enough you can get deliciously fresh food straight out of the oven. At school, one of my close friends had gotten food poisoning from the tomato sauce/ketchup. Not to mention how there are almost no healthy options for students who are wanting to eat more healthy and less fat.

Another thing I’d like to mention is our head of Highschool, Mister Riaz. Parents of the students of Year 6, 2023 had received an email from ‘Mister Riaz’ stating about how students of Year 7 2024 are forced to purchase laptops from AICS. The school is forcing parent(s) to purchase a $700 Asus Laptop from this school without including a 2-4 year warranty. That price is quite close to an IPad Air. This man crushed the hopes and joy of a large amount of students. Mister Riaz thinks that us students will use the laptops that we would’ve brought from home by watching Netflix, movies, games, etc. Highschool is extremely busy, students won’t even have the time to do all those activities because they need to focus on their work.

Not to mention, after Miss Pillay had sadly left AICS back in what I recall 2019, this school and its students have been going through the depression. This school was planning on constructing a Highschool campus as the population of students had been expanding, as the school was building the campus they said that the campus will be finished near 2019-2020 from what I recall. It is literally 2024 yet we are seeing absolutely 0 progress with its campus. Why, you may possibly ask? Well, the school had been building the campus without a literal building permit. This school was so immature that they thought they could build a literal campus without a building permit. Can you honestly believe it? All the money our parents were giving for fees + the building fees had been stolen and wasted. Used for nothing.

Another reason is because of the fans in our hall. You see, primary students normally pray in our school hall. In the AICS hall, there are old fans that had been built on the walls. You can barely feel any cold air coming from these fans, and it’s especially exhausting praying in our Australian summer which can be quite a pain. I’ve been seeing these old fans ever since I was in KINDERGARTEN, which is quite a long time ago (possibly 7 or more years ago who knows). These fans are so old you can’t even feel any air especially in our current Australian weather, so children are constantly sweating their pits off while praying their salah. And most of these kids are possibly going through puberty so it stinks up most of the hall and can stuff it up with all the sweatiness. I’ve been patiently waiting for AICS to finally realise the pain that the Primary students are going through so they can install brand new fans to decrease all the pain they go through.

There are even more terrible things that I would mention about this school in this review but I’ve written too much. Parents, please think not once, not twice, but THREE TIMES before enrolling your child here at AICS.

I thank you for reading my review.

when will the new campus is opening up? I was told campus would open back in 2012? Am I missing something? also why do we have so many demountables, my kids can’t even have proper classrooms. Where do these expensive fees go?
Because my daughter goes to this school and she as good learning and education also with her school rules.
