My daughter was once suspended for self defence from a rouge kid trying to fight her. Not pleased about this, my daughter also didn’t know how to do division by grade 6 I don’t know what they teach at this school but it’s not good, I also have heard from others that a teacher called a student a b word r word and spoilt brats . There are lots of fights at this school and this needs to be taken seriously!! My daughter has been a victim and was scared to go back to school. If your reading this TAKE YOUR KIDS SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!
the WORST school in the area i used to go to this school and at my time there i had gotten assaulted by teachers and this one teacher flipped over my table while someone was Infront of it and injured another student and teachers will swear Infront of kids and straight up bully them DONT SEND YOUR KIDS HERE
By grade 4 I discovered my son did not even know his ABC’s. In grade 5 he was still having trouble spelling his own name. If your child’s education and emotional and personal development is important to you. AVOID THIS SCHOOL AND ITS POLITICS.
They try to pretend they have a zero tolerance bullying policy by sweeping it under the rug. The problem is not just the serial child bullies. The biggest problem is the teachers, staff and management of these concerns. The teachers often involved in bullying students and trying to convince parents they are doing the right thing.
Do NOT be fooled. You child safety IS NOT their priority. Saving face for an already crumbling school and management seems to be their priority. Even at our children’s expense.
There’s some cool things about the school, it’s yard, but the teaching can be very lackluster, once got detention for laughing outside at a joke. This school has become a shell of its former self, it used to be good, but it Changed, So So Much, So much to a point where I couldn’t wait to Leave.
My sons just started at Ballam and I am highly impressed that the Principal took notice that they were on their own at lunch and kept them company on their first day. After meeting John this morning a down to earth, fun, relaxed and friendly person I know we made the right decision.
