Bard High School Early College Queens is an extraordinary school in New York City. Along with the rigorous, comprehensive, inter-disciplinary, and pervasive academic program, Bard offers students a unique environment to grow morally. This is evident when considering that BHSECQ was the first school to install a single-occupancy, gender-mutual bathroom. It is also clear when remembering the walk-out staged by students and encouraged by professors in response to the injustice surrounding police brutality currently gripping the entire country. Even more laudable, the school actively incorporates tolerance and, even more so, acceptance into the curriculum wherever possible, including the showcasing of the LGBTQ selection in it’s library during the second semester of its 2014 Fall -2015 Spring year. Headed by the wonderful Val Thompson, Bard High School Early College Queens is possibly the single best option to consider when enrolling in the NYC public school system, or any school system for that matter.
Bard High School is an amazing high school I’ve ever seen. It gives a lot of opportunities to student. The school environment is very nice.This school is wonderful in academics and other extra curriculum activities. Also the interviewers are very welcoming.The director of Bard High School Early College Queens, Ms.Olga Ramos took my interview. She was so nice and incredible. She facilitated very well and the questions she asked me was reasonable. I am now hoping to spend my next 4 years in Bard High School Early College Queens.
My son is receiving a top-notch rigorous and creative education. Liberal arts courses are of the highest caliber and students complete high school with an AA college degree. Excellent exposure to citi-wide competitive programs and classes include play direction, scientific research, etc. Extremely diverse population of students who are able to handle very high level academic programs.
