My son just graduated from Beansprouts on Friday, and my younger son is signed up for the 2s class in the fall. We’ve had three years of Beansprouts already, and I couldn’t be happier that we have three more ahead of us. I flat out love it.

My older son has learned so much, right from the start. They’ve taught him all the good pre-school stuff like his letters and numbers and how to write his name, to fun science like the seasons, to POTTY TRAINING him when he was younger. He’s learned about making friends, sharing, being a good classmate and student. He’s experienced awesome projects, like choosing a class tree in Prospect Park and drawing and documenting its changes through the seasons, or having incubators in the classroom and watching eggs hatch. Most important to me, he loves school, he loves his teachers and friends, and he never wants to miss a day.

If you want learning through play, Beansprouts is the real deal with a warm, loving, FUN environment that teaches your kids and pushes them gently. There are three teachers to a class and they have ALL been wonderful – Joslyn, Marina, Jessica, Megan, Angela, Tami.

I can’t think of a better first experience with school, and I’m so excited for all the fun and learning my younger son has to look forward to in the fall.

My son had a transformative year at Beansprouts. His teachers were kind, patient, creative, nurturing, compassionate and truly honor the whole child. They met my son where he was and supported him on his own unique journey. My son had a wonderful year full of authentic, joyful learning experiences. His classroom was brimming with vibrant student artwork and engaging materials. His teachers planned meaningful learning experiences rooted in the interests and curiosities of the children in the class. They took full advantage of the neighborhood by going on lots of field trips and having plenty of outside time. They also had outstanding enrichment classes – music with Kevin was my son’s absolute favorite! As an elementary educator myself, I couldn’t have asked for a better first school experience for my son. It was a magical year and I highly recommend Beansprouts to any potential families!
When we transitioned our daughter from daycare to Beansprouts for her 3 year old pre-K, we were pleasantly surprised at how well adjusted she was from Day 1. She loved all of her teachers and developed her first strong friendships during the school year. It was also great to have weekly updates along with pictures of the various activities she had undertaken. We look forward to her continuing with Beansprouts with the afterschool program even when she starts 4 year old preK in public school.
