My son attended BCDS for 5 years, from 6th through 10th grades. Sixth grade was great. It got worse every year. The implementation of mandatory laptops was a nightmare. The decision to recruit for soccer and basketball as my son entered high school changed his high school sports experience totally. Requests for support around racial identity and academic achievement were largely put back on him. We went there looking for an inclusive experience and left feeling unsupported and isolated. The fact that no one from the school reached out to find out why we were leaving says it all.
Great school, top notch faculty and campus. Our child loves it and we have all enjoyed being part of BCDS. Couldn’t have asked for a better well rounded educational experience that includes technology, arts, peer and teacher collaboration, and sports. They always WOW us and it keeps getting better. A must visit and tour. Thank you BCDS!
