I have to deal with few counselors, I have good reviews about few of them, in between them one that comes to my mind now is Mrs Glasel, very nice person, and very professional. but most of the counselors are not professional, and they can care less about the students. One that comes to my mind right now is Mrs. Parma, she is very rude, and unprofessional.
Mr. Matori the principal is only a symbol of presence in the school, and getting pay, by all of our taxes. I had to deal with some kids who had criminal cases at family court attending the school, this fact never let me feel confident about the school. When I approached Mr. Matori to search for a solution never came up with a good attitude about having kids with criminal cases behind their back, also with the incompetency from his security stuff to maintain the kids inside the school, and the reality of what the school is going through.
I think Cardozo High School, is only an illusion that doesn’t exist anymore.
people who think this is a “bad” school have never been to a “bad” school.
people should be working to make this school stronger not criticizing it for its minor flaws. this school has helped Bayside real estate values for years and many students go on towards college & career success.strong students, involved parents & competent teachers= success! But the Bloomberg administration wants to target large high schools so that he can reopen them as charters so if Cardozo suddenly goes down in the next two years it is no accident – it is Bloomberg, again. Beware! Becareful what you say against a school it will be used against you in the Bloomberg’s administration of public education.
