Summary: School pretty good for your average student. Food is terrible, but most teachers are alright, and they will help you. If you are GT/Pre-AP, GT academy at sab/west is better for you.

Food: 2/5
Food is terrible, unreasonably priced, and just really nothing good. Bring own food.

Regular Classes: 5/5
The teachers always ensure you understand a subject before moving on. Can be a bit slow though

Pre-AP Classes: 3/5
You know everything you need to know for STAAR, but slowpaced because of the teachers taking extra time for a few students. Would recommend GT academy at PJH West.

Clubs: 3/5
Many clubs offered, but they are just really average. Intellectual clubs like math and science have less and less state qualifiers each year. PJH West, again, has the better clubs

Fine Arts: 4/5
Amazing. The fine arts programs are top notch, and the directors are amazing. If you don’t get top level band/choir, you get less attention.

Students: 2/5
Mostly good, but you got corruption everywhere. I feel students really don’t care much about their education in general. Advanced classes are filled with regular students. This is what really brings down the school.

Building: 4/5
Not the most beautiful building, but crisp clean. Library amazing, so is the librarian.

DO NOT RECOMMEND. i absolutely hate this school for various reasons. most of the teachers do not teach and expect you to learn new concepts by the end of the period. mrs. day is very very rude. coach westmorlean is very rude too. i have many problems with the dress code, like how we are not allowed to wear our jackets around our waists. the school administrators do not care about any students, they only care about their school’s reputation. if possible, DO NOT GO HERE. YOU WILL REGRET IT. okay bye -olivia r. ??
About to graduate from here. My experience here was horrible. The food was horrible except for a few meals. Algebra sucks. You’re supposed to teach in a classroom. Not tell the kids to watch videos. The only fun I’ve had here was playing with friends. You rarely get good and fun teachers. And boys PE is way different from girls. The girls get roller skating and cpr. While the boys only get basketball and ultimate football and matball. And sometimes the coach just puts balls out and let’s us play.
