I think I like the school so far *except* they have the worst pick-up and drop-off setup imaginable. You sit in line for about 30 minutes just to get to the pick-up spot, which is understandable for after school hours, except that the pick-up spot is basically on the next street. They have you go from the front of the entrance all the way around the parking lot to the end by the street to pick up kids. Which means it takes a whoooole lot longer to get kids because you have to wait until they get to the street (a long ways away). And even though there isn’t a soul even near the front of the school during drop-off, no buses or ANYthing, they stand there blocking it during drop-off and make you drive all the way around the entire parking lot and all the way to the end, drop off your kid, and then have them walk all the way back up to the school. It’s pretty stupid. Even if they had cars start at the back side of the school and have them go through towards the front of the school for pick-up and drop-off, that would make WAY more sense. People would get to their kids way faster and get moving. My daughter also has asthma, so walking up that far to the school in the humidity activates it a lot of the time. We’ll see what happens when the school gets this ridiculousness figured out, hopefully BEFORE the construction is finished. Otherwise from what I’ve found about the actual school program, so far it seems like a really good school.
I loved this school. Its so amazing and vibrant with life I just can’t get enough of it. Though some student need to learn to have a little respect for their fellow classmates and teachers not to point fingers or anything but mainly the 8th graders. They constantly pick on the “sevieys” (se-vees) they call 7th graders. Besides that the school is amazing I would stay there forever if I could?
