I was a freshman at Machebeuf in 2004-2005 and I had a very terrible experience while there. The teachers and curriculum were good at best, but the Dean of students and faculty turned a blind eye on bullying. The immense bullying I was put through by upperclassmen was not dealt with properly even after it was brought to their attention. This led me to sink into a deep depression and eventually I tried to take my own life due to the negligence of faculty. At age 14. No child should have to put up with that type of environment at school, especially one that focuses on teaching students to follow the image of Christ. Needless to say, my parents enrolled me in a different public highschool the following year. I left religion behind when I left Machebeuf and I can’t say I regret it. I’m not sure how much the school has changed since then, but I wouldn’t recommend it after my experience and I would never enroll my child into this school.
this school absolutely sucks. If you want to get accused of cheating and spend a hell of a lot of money on a broke school, be my guest and go here. The school is absolutely broke because they only spend their money on extracurriculars instead of the actual education. Most of the teachers dont know what they are doing because they are fresh out of college (not all teachers are bad) but overall its not worth the 15,000 dollar tuition for a military bunker school that is very outdated.
